WA Technical, Regulatory and Green Building Discussion

During this session two important topics will be presented: the association's progress toward creating Product Category Rules and how companies who are NSF/ANSI 342 certified may create additional value.

The WA Technical Committee continues to monitor and address sustainability and product transparency requests that come from customers in the industry. During the first part of this presentation, you will learn about the process in creating Product Category Rules (that can then be further developed into an Industry Average Environmental Product Declaration) and how your organization may get involved.

As for the second portion of this presentation, the association recognizes the time, energy and money that your company has been put into the NSF/ANSI 342 Sustainability Assessment and we want to make sure that certification remains valuable to you and the customers who request it. During this session, Jeff Rezin and Giselle Walsh will discuss how to create a sustainability scorecard that can be shared with your customers and could potentially count toward LEED credit.
